Team-O

Team-O Challenge

See below the rules from the Spring Challenge 2009 to help you get ready for the next Challenge — which could materialize at any moment:

You are hereby challenged to...

Form a team to re-enact one of the five publicly revealed Team-O sports, and to submit a video of it to YouTube:

  • Urban Dodge Ball
  • Extreme Bunny Hop
  • Underwater Ski Patrol
  • Galapagos Jousting Federation
  • Antarctic Chess League

For a full description of these sports click here.

PRIZES: Special Edition Team-O Gear, highly-coveted Team-O membership, and possible participation in upcoming Team-O TV shows.

Here’s what you need to do:

Step 1: Bravely plan to re-create 1 or all 5 Team-O Sports available to you. Click here for an overview of the 5 Team-O Sports. Remember, the descriptions only provide a loose outline for each sport, your team is encouraged to interpret and fine-tune specific rules, gear and locations. Your creativity in doing this will be an important element in winning the challenge.

Step 2: Pick your teammates carefully. You can have no less than 4 and no more than 9 members — with at least 2 men or 2 women on the team.

Step 3: Select a fitting oxymoronic name for your team, such as Sad Clowns, Noble Savages, Buttheads, Sweet Pickles, etc.

Step 4: Film your re-creation of Team-O sports, then simply submit your video(s) to YouTube. Be sure to tag your video(s) with the Team-O sport name and your team name. You may submit as many videos as you like.

For more information on joining YouTube and submitting videos, see this help page.

WINNING: Winners are chosen based on the overall popularity and ratings of the videos submitted. Team-O Supreme Council members reserve the right to select additional winners for videos they deem especially Team-O worthy, or to deny winnings for any video they deem unfit.

Winners will be declared on May 30th, 2009 — and announced by the Guardian on Team-O.com and on Twitter.

DISCLAIMER: Video submissions may not depict violence, cause harm or injury or be outright offensive. Remember to act responsibly and that you are accountable for your actions. By participating in the Team-O Challenge, you accept to comply by the full Disclaimer text viewable here.
